A host of new standard features highlight the changes coming to Lincoln’s flagship SUV for the 2020 model year.
Lincoln will be adding more safety and convenience technology to the vehicle that they already dub the “most awarded SUV in its class.” The latest innovative safety technologies will come standard in a suite of features the company calls Lincoln Co-Pilot360. The suite will include popular driver-assist features, such as: blind spot detection, a dynamic lane-keeping system and pre-collision assist with automatic braking among other such technologies.
The luxury SUV becomes even more grand thanks to some additional standard features that are sure to please high-end car buyers. The company’s exclusive “Phone as a Key” technology, which will first appear in the 2020 Aviator, will allow owners to control the vehicle’s locks, open and close the tailgate and even start the engine from an app on their smartphone. Popular features like power running boards, heated and ventilated seats and a wireless phone charging station will all come standard as well, the coalescence of which will surely put the Navigator in a class of its own.
Lincoln is obviously keen to upgrade the Navigator’s lower trim levels. The company states that 90% of Navigators purchased have been from the Reserve or Black Label series, indicating customer propensity towards the vehicle’s most well-equipped trim levels. By including this collection of advanced features as standard equipment, Lincoln is ensuring that their flagship SUV can attract luxury car buyers at all its price points.
